Have been playing with the Mr. Robot engine. Looks so great using some of the many special retro effects. Well, they all look great of course. The main thing is that Manic Maker now replicates the Commodore 64's standard graphic modes enabling the main colours along with their relevent multicolour settings.
8 years ago the coding fingers were busy with the team creating this renowned Nintendo DS game.
Where has all that time gone? Personally, I do feel it is in need of a shiny PC remake…
Anyway, this video was an early peek at the gameplay.
Just for the fun of it, Mr. Robot and his Robot Factory is re-enabled in the lastest Manic Makers Beta Build.
One day this will be released, but for those without access to the beta – here’s a little picture.
A request was made to allow the c64 engines in Manic Maker to have a selectable palette. There has always been much debate about what colours to use when emulating C64 visuals.
Hopefully adding a choice of 8 palettes should at least keep most people happy.
Manic Maker went all “Eastery” for a short while.
(Thanks for my Easter eggs Lobo)
